CAN ANY STUDENT APPLY IN ÀGORA BCN?
Yes, Agora BCN is open to the entire university community. We accept students of any university and college career, as well as high school students, training courses, masters and postgraduate, doctoral and other studies.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR A PLACE IN AGORA BCN ?
To reserve a place , the first step is to complete the "Application Form for Full Course 2010-2011" at the "Students" and send it via the web AGORA BCN.
If you request information through the website, we will inform you of the conditions and pre-enrollment process.
ONCE I HAVE SENT THE APPLICATION FORM, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
At the time that ÀGORA BCN receives your request to place, we'll send a mail to inform about the next step to make the payment of the pre-registration (545 € including VAT).
There will be 5 days for payment, otherwise the place will be off to another resident. This payment is a pre-booking of a place conditioned on the final registration of the resident and the corresponding payment of the deposit during the month of July.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE PAID THE REGISTRATION AND I DO NOT PASS HIGH SCHOOL, SELECTIVIDAD OR I AM NOT ACCEPTED IN THE UNIVERSITIES OF BCN FOR WHICH I HAVE REQUESTED?
In these three cases, the student must submit an official document justifying the three exceptions were to apply for refund of the preregistration. If there is low or resigns voluntarily or at the plaza for other reasons to those mentioned above, is not entitled to payment of the pre-registration.
CAN A NEW RESIDENT CHOOSE THE TYPE OF ROOM?
AGORA BCN has three types of rooms: single, large single and double. The enrollment period is open from 16th February until the places are exhausted. Those residents who apply for new access or individual large single room, once filled out the pre-registration form and paid the amount, will receive a confirmation of place from May 17th. These are awarded in order of pre-registration and payment. In case ÀGORA BCN not have the room required, the new resident may opt for other types of room available. In case of not accepting the alternative , the new resident may also be eligible for the refund of the preregistration. For those residents who request a double room will they will get the place confirmed at the time of payment of pre-registration
ONCE ENROLLED, WHEN CAN I GET INTO THE RESIDENCE?
All residents have full course entry from September 12. The arrival day will be delivered to each resident: a welcome kit with the Internal Regulations, the room number and name of the partner in the case of a double room.
DOES THE RESIDENCE CLOSE DURING VACATION PERIODS?
No, is open throughout the year. (See terms of service dining for Christmas and Easter).
CAN BE IN MY ROOM DURING CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS AND HOLY WEEK? ARE MEALS INCLUDED?
Because the residence does not close all year, you are allowed to stay in during all the time of your contract.
COULD I STAY IN THE RESIDENCE DURING THE SUMMER?
If you're interested in staying during the summer, X months before the end of the course, you must report to Reception and ask for fees for the months you want to extend your stay.
CAN I SMOKE IN THE RESIDENCE?
AGORA BCN is a smoke-free. No smoking is allowed throughout the building including the bedrooms. You can only smoke in the outer parts of the building (terrace and gardens).
IS THERE ANY SUPERMARKET NEAR THE RESIDENCE?
Yes, on the other side of Ronda de Dalt you will find Consum and other shops.
